Behind the Story – Ethical Readings of Qurʾānic Narratives
The College of Islamic Studies hosted the launch of the sixth volume of the Studies in Islamic Ethics series, Behind the Story: Ethical Readings of Qurʾānic Narratives, edited by Dr. Samer Rashwani, Senior Researcher and faculty member at the Center for Islamic Legislation and Ethics (CILE). This publication explores the literary and moral significance of Qurʾānic stories and their formative influence on Islamic ethical thought across disciplines including law, theology, Sufism, politics, and the arts.
The event featured short presentations by expert scholars, each addressing under-researched aspects of Qurʾānic narratives and their ethical resonance. A brief question-and-answer session followed the talks, encouraging further discussion and reflection.
