Socio-Ethical Reflections on Hajj in Islam

Hajj (pilgrimage) is one of the major unique annual events in the Muslim world. Every year more than two million pilgrims travel from all over the world to gather in Mecca in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj; and those Muslims who are not taking part in any one particular year usually mark, or at least acknowledge the occasion somehow from wherever they are living.
