Tariq Ramadan to hold “Introduction to Ethics” workshop in Mauritius

The Research Center for Islamic Legislation and Ethics (CILE) is pleased to invite you to attend its workshop on “Introduction to Ethics” under the supervision of Professor Tariq Ramadan, CILE Director, in 25-26 April 2015 at the Islamic Cultural Center in Port Louis, Mauritius.

This event discusses the concepts of Hasan (Morally good) and Qabih (Morally bad) and source of ethical legitimacy through linking the question of values and ethics to various contexts and approaches where the legal, philosophical and spiritual aspects overlap.

The program of this workshop includes:

First Day: Introduction to Fiqh, Law, Ethics, Sufism and Philosophy

Second Day: Universal and Applied Ethics: Practical Examples from Medicine, Art, Economics, Environment, and Gender.
