Rabia Malik is a Consultant Systemic Psychotherapist, based at the Tavistock Centre in London. She previously developed and led a specialist therapeutic service based in the NHS for ethnic minority clients called the Marlborough Cultural Therapy Centre. She has done extensive work with Muslim communities and clients and published numerous articles in this area. She has conducted research on the cultural construction of mental illness as well as developing faith sensitive support services for Muslim youth.
<p>The Research Center for Islamic Legislation and Ethics (CILE) held a seminar entitled "Islamic Ethics and Psychology" over three days from Saturday 22nd to Monday 24th November 2014 at Qatar Faculty of Islamic Studies, Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Doha, Qatar.
<p>A group of prominent scholars of text and psychology will participate in this lecture.
