Dr. Amani El Jack

Dr. Amani El Jack is an Associate Professor & Research Coordinator of Social Issues at the Gulf Studies Center, Qatar University. She is also a tenured Associated Professor (on leave) at the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Massachusetts Boston, USA. Dr. El Jack’s research and teaching traverse socio-economic, political and cultural interrogation of the gendered fields of transnational migration; globalization; militarization/war; and post-conflict reconstruction processes in Africa and the Middle East. Some of Dr. El Jack’s publications include a forthcoming book entitled: Militarized Commerce: Gender Dimensions of Transnational Migration, Ashgate Publications; as well as a book manuscript in progress on The Arab Springs and Islamic Revivalism.
