Bilal Abdul Sathar is a researcher primarily focusing on the intersection of ethics and Sufism. Bilal obtained his MA in Islamic Thought and Applied Ethics from Hamad Bin Khalifa University (2020), and another MA in Islamic Jurisprudence from International Islamic University Malaysia (2016). He received his bachelor’s degree in Islamic Jurisprudence from Al Jamia Al Islamiyah (2012) and his second bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Calicut (2012). He also received advanced training in the Turkish Language from Necmettin Erbakan University (2018) and in the Arabic Language from Al Jamia Al Islamiya (2014). His other research interests include Islamic theology and philosophy, sharia, usul al-Fiqh, and economics and Islamic finance. Bilal has been actively involved in setting up curriculum and courses in Islamic studies at different colleges in Kerala.
